As artists grow, it becomes increasingly difficult to create something fresh and exciting. You want to continue to surprise and excite your audience but at the same time you don't want to create something so unfamiliar it leaves them feeling alienated, it's a tough balance for any artist to find.
For this year's Christmas card, I decided to to tackle a topic so controversial, so divisive, you'd be forgiven for thinking Margaret Thatcher had risen from her grave for one last dance, right here on FA.
The topic, of course, is mayonnaise, and the irrational hatred it faces on a daily basis despite being the creamy wondersauce that goes with literally anything and has no doubt saved millions of lives worldwide.
Please try to avoid political mayonnaise arguments in the comments, and if you were lucky enough to receive one of these cards already, I do hope it hasn't been the cause of any arguments over this, the most forgiving and accepting time of year.
