My second felting attempt, this time an arctic hare scratching herself. The eyes are glued black cabochon beads, the whiskers were kindly donated (naturally-shed) from my kitty and doggy, and there is hand-stitched detailing in all the crevices for added contrast. Wool was wrapped over an aluminium wire skeleton and felted down; WIP shots are in my scraps. This took me a few months to make, and was a Christmas gift for my mom-in-law. Will post some outdoor pics of Claire soon. (Note: the paws of arctic hares are brownish on the undersides, and of course, have no pawpads.) :)
