"People are bad to me, so others shouldn't expect me to be nice to them" is what you're saying. Point blank: If you dislike something, be quiet and move along. This advice goes for you, and those who comment on your work that, seemingly, makes you think you have license to be just like them. Not very professional, nor is it anything to appreciate.
JudasWolf is much more eloquent than I, but I support his line of thinking here.

Agreed with this chap below here. As valuable as constructive critique is, abrupt opinion can really hurt the feelings of people. Whether you approve of the arrangement or composition or not, two people have worked hard to create something and negativity, such as that which you displayed in your initial comment will be taken personally as it was not intended to aid or benefit the two brains behind this, only to belittle them.
Everyone is welcome to their own opinion, naturally, but this was unnecessarily abrupt and harsh and, to me, came across as fueling your own ego. It pains me to see musicians treating other musicians like this, sadly I see and hear it far too often. We should be supportive of other people's work, regardless of their skill level and approach to genre. I hate disco music, for example but would never insult someone who had spent a good portion of their time working on a track just because I feel that the music I create is better, or more skillful. There is always someone with more talent, more expertise, more gear, more fame, more money, more stage-presence, etc than you somewhere in the world.
If you were truly a professional then you would have been more tactful in your comment as you would respect the two musicians who had created this and would want to see them better themselves. Or you would not have commented at all, keeping your opinion to yourself.
Whether people have been abrupt, nasty or unfair in comments to you about your work does not put you in a position where it's appropriate for you to dish it out on others. People quit being creative when people say unpleasant things about their work and although I can imagine some cruel people will say to those being criticised "deal with it" it is not for them to "deal with" but for the person wanting to be nasty taking a step back and not saying something that will undoubtedly hurt someone.
It's not the time of year for it, have a bit of Christmas cheer and be nice to people. Thanks.

I do yes, you gave an opinion as fact. It'd be like me saying "Justin Bieber is a useless and talentless twat" - to me, he is. To hundreds of thousands of people world-wide, that is not the case. He is wonderful, inspiring and a stunning singer. What I have said is not fact, it's my own opinion on the matter.
And I know, I have met and worked with plenty of awful people who are "professional" musicians, it does not make their attitudes and opinions factual or right.

I myself don't take things personally at all when it comes to art. I am a professional musician in a signed band, we have had plenty of reviews both good and bad, even the downright cruel. I am perfectly capable of handling criticism as I deal with it from multiple media formats every time I play a gig or we release something.
Inevitably though when it comes to creating something, people will take things personally and it is important to keep that in mind when critiquing someone's work, the two musicians who wrote and played this song are unlikely to appreciate the comment you made saying that you thought their song, which they have created, is "unlistenable".
Just be a little considerate mate.

yea well I am a music producer who alone for 2013 on my own label for my own projects have produced over 8 hours of music
Counting together film music, productions for other artists, remixes and so on you get half a day of music
Fact is that I do fight against GEMA, BMI, ASCAP and theirlikes because we independent musicians at least make real music, not compared to many of the "sponsored" ones, which are actually financed by us independents because everytime we sell something, money goes to these companies, even if we are not even members there.
Yea so much for that - me giving out a "critique" in form above means simply: "a production by me would have sounded way different and maybe more 'correct' for this style of music", I have my experience and I use it the way I want.
As I said, if I cared what a lot of haters were saying against me to pull my name in the dirt..... I would be dead 3 times in a row ^^

Hey guys, if I might way in here...
I think I should thank both of you. (or all 3)
Tassulisko, for your honest opinion and critique, even if it seemed a bit harsh and slightly superficial. I've got you point.
And secondly Judaswolf (and Unnameddragon), for your concern about me, Astor and criticism in general. And of course for your contribution to our song. You did a great job.
Though I can not speak for both of us, I want to state that I didn't connect emotionallyto either the initial comment or the resulted discussion. Being a serious musican myself and also mature, I didn't take anything personally and I can take critique, be it good or bad.
It is true that I and Tassulisko have never met in any way before and I can imagine that such a comment in the form you had given it can hurt somebodys feelings. I don't know if he read my page profile, but i wrote there clearly in bold letters that I appreciate critique. So can't complain to anyone for criticising my works.
That's all I've to say about that right now.
Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all of you.

Thanks for taking the time and criticising the song. I'm honored that you compared this song to commercial productions, even though your judgment is overall negative.
Many musicians on FA are just making their first steps here, because it's mostly a more friendly and helping environment (compared to Youtube for example).
I myself have made my very first composition and my very first own song lyrics in the fandom, and if it weren't for some other furries and the fandom, I don't know when and if I would have started composingand writing music.
But to get back to the song: Yea, I personally had objections and doubts during the composition with amalgamating so many genres into 1 song, but after all these years I still sometimes come back and enjoy listening to this song. So can not agree fully to your statements.
Would radio stations run this? Meh, probably not. But writing it was an experience worthwhile. (and apparently a good bunch of people enjoyed the song) :3

He took the words right off my tongue. Thank you!
I'm glad you like it, too. I lately said to myself. If this song puts at least one smile on a single persons face, it was totally worth writing that song. :3
I admit that that I had some worries how this blunt mixture of styles would work out in the end. Meanwhile I eased into it, but I still don't know how it feels like to a fresh listener.
Did I sound british as Santa? Well, I guess I've tried to sound somewhat posh.^^
Truth is, we had planned to involve other singers or voice actors. We even had the idea for a little dialogue before the last chorus, but it all accumulated in the end and my slight lazyness had surely caused some delay.
But thank for volunteering. I'll get back on that.:}
As for the clarity: Sure, in that matter we are both rather amateurs, but in this special case the effort we put in mixing and soundchecking was quite minimalistic due to the close deadline and some last-minuit fixes. Not my usual procedure.
Thanks for the fav and even more for the helpful comment.
