Okay, so he looks more like an afghan hound or as someone else pointed out to me, a chunky saluki. Also, I'm a huge fan of FFT. Part of the influence of this character's design is the Cynocephalus St. Christopher, and of course Saint Roch, patron saint of dogs. You can tell who paladin reveres.
