Because Ami was already taken, but also it's more unique, and the fact that as a little girl, while playing games with my brothers it was always the name I gave my imaginary characters. I hadn't used it in ages, till much later after I had my own computer and internet for a while. Which was only a couple years ago, honestly. .-.
