The armor is really well done, but the head looks strangely fuzzy, or out of focus compared to the rest of it.

I thought so too!. Armor clean and crisp the head like a out of focus kodak camera moment. Sadly detracts a little from the armor crispness but I would imagine wearing a helmet with those ears and snout would suck. I always wondered on the cooling system needed for a furry battle suit..some serious evaporation/panting issues for one.

I sometimes think of these things, too. For instance with my character as a dragon, I imagine she'd have to file down all the spines on her back so they don't poke through her clothes and chairs and things. And speaking of chairs, if anthros were real, they'd have to be designed different, due to the tails.

Well, from the art point of view, it just looks like he used a dull brush, or blurred too much. I think if the lines at the edge of the fur were more defined, it would look better.
