Even though there was one more game left on the road trip, the Minutemen had decided to return to Williamsburg for their Christmas celebration. The team attended Christmas services in the morning and in the evening celebrated with a party at the Patriot Stadium practice gym.

Tthe food was consumed: Margaret Walters (Spotted Hyena, G, WIL) amazed with her ability to eat steak and Leonard Mack (Fox, C, WIL) gladly lived up to his nickname given to him by Wiley Twaddle (Woodchuck, G, SFW) by downing some 7-Up to the merriment of his teammates.

Crystal Davis (Cheetah, SG, WIL) earned a round of laughter when she was presented with a case of chocolate protein shakes from Teo Masalia (Black Panther, SG, WIL). And after the party at Vera's home, Leonard presented Vera La Tiérra (Red Vixen, PG, WIL) with a beautiful sapphire ring. Others presented gifts to their teammates with much joy, laughter, hugs and kisses.

Mary Wooten (Sheep, F, WIL) expressed it well before the party began as she spoke to the team: "Christmas is the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and the tradition of gift-giving symbolizes the significance of the Magi giving gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh to the newborn Savior. I'm proud to celebrate this wonderful day with my new friends... my new family. Merry Christmas, everyone."

Truer words were never spoken.
