Eezo, my tokay gecko, being a bitch as usual. Hope she'll calm down some day. Was trying to get that ITTY bit of shed off her back and she barked and lunged at my hand, haha.
Tokay geckos are not starter reptiles. Please do not get them unless you have experience. They can bite very hard, draw blood, and are not that handleable unless you have raised one from a tiny baby. [or manage to get a very tame adult, which is rare] They are very territorial and the males can be very loud. Do your research before getting any pet and make sure you can take care of them properly.

As an owner of Tokays...yes!! They are born pissed off and bitey. I had one, I named Echo Gecko, for 19 years kept trying to remove my fingers. By year 20 would just open his mouth saying "Do me the favor and stick your fingers in so I can remove them." By year 21, I actually could handle the lizard normally without argument or bites. Lived 24 years.
Plus they are the BEST Roachicide! Got roaches? Let loose a Tokay, they will be gone within a couple weeks. I learned to speak Tokay and could bark like them and growl like them. Only had one male that would get vocal and call out in the "TOOHKAYY TOOHKAYY!!"
I also managed to have Tokays and leopard geckos in the same tank without issues. Tokays stayed high on the glass, the Leopards on the ground. At night I would occasionally hear a tokay bitch at a leopard walking over it if the tokay was on the ground. I miss having a perpetually pissed lizard. Nobody breeds them anymore.
