It's a fucking halo from Halo

It's effective, in a dyson sphere oxygen tends to concentrate in the equator relative to the rotation of it, therefore a sphere around a man-made star will both, use up 100% of it's power thanks to solar cells, and the equator will function as a garden.

One, solar panels are far from being 100% efficient, and plus it's light. Unless the entirety of everything is covered in solar panels, you're not going to get 100% efficiency from the star, and even then you're still not going to get anywhere near 100%. And seeing as it's a STAR, and what it's doing is FUSION, a lot of that power will be lost to creating heavier elements and heat.
And it's a halo from the Halo series.

Solar cells today, might not be as efficient, besides, 100% of the light is used, seeing as the garden needs it too, right?
Granted, it doesn't really need to use that star's solar power, maybe in an emergency or something, but if you know all this, surely you know a RINGWORLD is a recurring theme in sci-fi, way, WAY before halo was even dreamed of, besides, it's a Dyson sphere.
