I'm sure many of you know me as an EDM fanatic but I actually also have a nostalgic love for 90's/punk rock music.

The song that I relate to most and one of my all time favorites to listen to when I'm mellow or sad is "How's it Gonna be" by Third Eye Blind.

This song brings back memories and just has that type of atmosphere for me.


The general feeling I get from this song is "fear". The fear we all share. That we will never be able to go back to the good times, that we are missing out right now. The fear of change. Even though you know the situation you are in needs to end, not wanting it to end, not wanting to take that step that will change everything, even if that change is needed. The fear of making the wrong decision, and then realizing your mistake only after it's too late. The whole 'This needs to happen, but... what's it gonna be like? When I can't talk to you anymore?' The lines "How's it gonna be..when you don't know me? How's it gonna be... when you're sure I'm not there? How's it gonna be... when there's no one there to talk to... between you and me" capture that feeling perfectly for me. The hesitation, unsure-ness. The 'fear'.
They won't know your life, your problems, your joys anymore. They won't know YOU anymore.
The thought that someone who is so much a part of your life right now.... will eventually be nothing. It's scary for me sometimes.

This is all just my interpretation of the song though.


This drawing expresses what I've been going through lately. There's been days where I'll wake up in the morning, and just lay there alone with my thoughts for thirty minutes, maybe even an hour. Not all entirely bad thoughts, sometimes deep thoughts. Where am I going? What am I gonna do next? What time is class today? And goes on~


So yeah lol, hope you enjoyed my novel there. XD

Don't be afraid to listen to music that makes you sad. It can make you feel very much alive. =)
