Twilight dawned over the horizon as the sun faded leaving only a trickle of light from its existence. The street lamps clicked on to fill the empty back allies with what they could offer for light. The city soon burst with the night life while one such individual lurked within the darkness. He hated crowds let alone people themselves. The Shadow entered his complex through a back alley door that clicked behind him. Ascending the stairs to the third floor he slipped a key in a lock and went inside. His apartment was dark with cracks running through the dry wall. Spiders had come to make their homes in the corners of the ceilings and along the base boards. Weylin tossed his baggage on the couch before plopping down beside it. He tapped out a cancer stick, slipped it betwixt his maw and sparked it to life. His amber colored visionaries were illuminated by the faint light that came the tip of his cigarette just as the door swung open. He looked up to spot a figure in the doorway...
