A very delayed debut (been done since early october) of Australian Cattle Dog suits made for my sister
wolfgem and her mate
super.nova (they have some more pics on their pages)
The heads are 100% my work, the rest they helped with.
My sister's suit is Bandana, her mate's Bullet
My sister is friends with a few fellow lovers and breeders of ACDs and here they are holding a friend's litter of four week old pups.
Fun fact: ACDs have dalmatian in their bloodline and just as how dalmatians are born white ACDs are born white and their frosted body coloring comes is as they age, these pups may be pale right now but they will be as dark as the suits by the time they are fully grown.

My sister has 4 ACDs: 2 purebred from a breeder, and 2 from rescues with one being a special needs senior dog with facial scaring, broken teeth, a tumor we had to get removed and three usable legs.
We fully understand the need for helping dogs who already exist in the world and need saving, and that a pedigree my no means defines a dog as good or bad, we also still love mutts and have owned mutts in the past... but we also respect that dog breeds are part of the world's heritage and history and that heritage and history is kept alive through responsible breeders who test for and breed away from genetic health problems, have only a few well-cared for and socialized litters a year, and who personally make sure the pups go to proper forever homes (note how I phrased that, I have nothing but disdain for "puppy mill" breeders, they are the opposite of a responsible breeder and their existence is the main problem with the purebred dog world)

breeding done right = no monnies xD
90% of what a good breeder gets in goes in food and vet bills for the pups and mom, exception is maybe "designer" breeds such as Chihuahuas, but that depends how much the buyer is willing to pay. (easily 3.5k here)
My pup is purebred, but without responsible breeders her breed would have died out along with the 2nd WorldWar, which is shame since they are great rescue dogs :D
Sorry for dogpiling on ya ^^; just the initial comment was, well, kinda sweeping every breeder under one rug and that made me annoyed :D
