As I was driving today, an idea for a comic book super hero popped into my head, and I rather liked the idea, so I went ahead and did a quick concept cover art so I could save the idea, otherwise, I'd forget the idea entirely ^^;
I haven't really come up with any super powers for him, other than flight, since, you know, he has wings.. but I may not give him any. I may make him more human than not, having to use his whits and skills to conquer his foes/challenges, Though perhaps he'll have some gadgets to help him out, kinda like how Batman is. Having the super hero solve everything with super strength is just plain boring. Sorry Hulk, but I just don't like you.
I've also come up with a couple arch nemesis...es (nemesi, nemeseese?) whom of which I shall not reveal until I decide whether or not I shall try to actually make this comic book. MWAHAHAHAHA!!!!
His costume.... needs some work... I rather like the tatters for the bottom, and for his foot gear, I was thinking heavy, high-top boots, and of coarse he'll have leggings of some sort under the tatters. The gloves will probably go under serious revision to find a stile I am satisfied with, and as for the torso, I really couldn't think of anything at the time, so I basically left that bit blank. I'll have to look at picks of angels and outfits to come up with an idea. Perhaps I'll just put him in a robe?
Anyway, the mask will likely not change much at all. I very much like this design I came up with, simple and to the point. Though I still have to figure out what color to make it, something dark. It may be a tad hard to see with how I drew him, but under the eyes, there are stripes extending from the eyes, and going down the cheeks like tear streams, hence "Weeping". This of coarse will symbolize something about the character, which will not be revealed until latter in the story (if I do the story)
The best part of this character idea though, is I actually came up with a bit of a background to him, the things that happened to him in the past, or or even the present, that caused him to be what he is. His past, of coarse, would be slowly revealed throughout the story.
Basically, you'll know practically nothing about this character in the beginning. He'll just be a hero that pops out of nowhere to save the day, and then vanishes without a word when the deed is done. And as the story goes on, his character will be revealed, and develop.
It's kinda funny, at first, I was thinking of doing this as a My Little Pony thing, and have a pegasus super hero, (which would actually be a great deal easier to draw), but I decided against it, because there are so many pony things out there already, and I kinda felt like I would be using the show's popularity to attract people to my character. Plus it'd be good for me to practice drawing human figures rather than cartoon ponies all the time. (plus I kinda already have an idea for a pony comic XD)
Anyway, as I said, this was just an idea, not sure if I'll pursue it or not, or even if I'll have the time to. Though it IS something I'd like to try.

lol, I actually came up with this idea after watching "The Time of Angels" and "Flesh and Stone" XD
Maybe I should have it set in London in the 1950's-1960's so I can have the Weeping Angel leave the tied up bad guys beside a police box?
Thanks, I do hope I can actually take this one somewhere, unlike all of my other ideas that I have had...

Hahaha, oh poor Hulkie! XD
Well, I'm thinking of giving him a bow, or perhaps a crossbow? Swords are kinda overused, but I'll be looking up different styles of weapons so I can decide what I want him to use. I also need to decide what time period and location I want to put him, so I can come up with something appropriate for the era.
