In this case, it wsa literally underfoot, in the gravel and mud of the streambed.
Kjola would hardly need all that hardware. But at the time I drew this I was fascinated by the Japanese 1/1 scale model firearms I had built. The M-177 could be fully disassembled just like the real thing, and had all the working parts, including 30 rounds of "brass". (Later I replaced the too-gold looking plastic rounds with real cartridges and rounds, lacking only the powder and percussion cap.) The larger of the two holstered guns is a S&W .44 Magnum, 6 inch barrel, and the smaller is a Colt .357 snub-nose, corresponding to other kits I'd built.
