Some more traditional art I made for the FC art auction next year! I used microns, a variety of art markers, and paint pens once again. It's my lion version of the Eleventh Doctor!

Yay thank you!! Yup it was totally because of that hair. If I wasn't doing cats he would probably be a badger since Matt Smith is totally a furry for badgers. I had a fez on him in the original concept but it imbalanced the two when next to each other so I nixed it. (Also went off the top and ruined the whole layout.)
I agree that 10 was brilliant and amazing, but i feel like 11 is attempting to pay tribute to 10s silly off-kilter behavior and mannerisms. So its like we still get a little bit of 10 within 11, if that makes sense. Thats what makes him tolerable to me. I miss the catchphrases and way 10 could throw such cartoony facial expressions, but 11 has his good things about him too, like the moments when he battles wits with Amy Pond or River Song which crack me up.
I still feel like 10 had a much better time interpreting what Doctor Who is all about too. Showing someone "ordinary" that they can be much more! His companions aren't born into or thrown into being extraordinary and their experiences with him, not just HIM being with them is what makes them amazing and extraordinary. Can relate to the 10 companions much more than 11's. What I love most with 11 is his episodes with kids. The previous Christmas episodes were amazing!!! (this year's was a huge disappointment for me.)
