Feeding mice to ferrets is a thing? I have two ferrets, I was sure I knew atleast a vast majority of ferret info and I've never heard of this! I'd be super interested to learn more about it!

It definitely is! It's part of the idea to feed more naturally, including raw (my ferret eats raw meats such as bone-in chicken and rabbit, as well as pork and lamb, and organ meats like liver as well as the frozen mice). Ferrets are obligate carnivores, and the whole raw feeding thing works well for them.

At the very least from now on I might start giving my ferrets some small livers 'n things, don't really want to make their cage into a blood bath but I would really like to see the vicious lil guys rip into something like their ancestors lol

I'd love to chat about ferret diet stuff! I'm going to bed now (Just stayed up with friends for the new year, I worked a 13 hour shift today before that ;o;) but I'll message you in the morning, and I'll read over that site!


Also, just a topical anecdote that happened a few days ago: my step sister recently asked if my two ferrets could play with her chinchilla and I had to say "Oh sweety, oh no, never, they would rip him apart" lol
