A watercolor painting I did for my sister and her husband for Christmas, of their two rescued lovebirds who are now both deceased.... Berkley (right) was killed by a defective bird toy many years ago, but Bebop (left) lived to be a pretty old bird, fighting chronic illness resulting from hundreds of generations of captive inbreeding her whole life. My sister and her husband cared very deeply for their little cheep-cheeps, and I wanted to give them something to remember them by.
I did cause my entire family to cry when my sister opened this though, which I felt somewhat bad for. When she thanked me, I said, "You're welcome.... I'm sorry." XD We all giggled and wiped our tears away. Rest in Peace babies, you were so very loved.

So precious and so soo lovely!
I had this same thing happen to me when I presented my mother-in-law with a drawing of her late pup who had to be put to sleep a couple years ago because of a brain tumor. I knew she would cry though (she's a very emotional lady), so I was prepared going in for what was going to happen haha.
