With a growl, you put on a burst of speed and come flying out behind the Cubone as he emerges from the bush behind Lori, club raised. He lets out a frightened gasp as you land on top of him and go rolling in a confused pile.
Shane growls and you hear him mumble something under his breath about the Cubone being an idiot.
If looks could kill, Shane would be a smoldering pile of ash on the ground right now as his sister stares at him. “I knew you’d try something dirty like this, that’s why I made sure to have someone watching my back.” The little Nidoran lets out a snort. “I hate cheaters. It’s just a sign of cowardice and a lack of self-confidence when someone has to sneak around and play dirty or make deals behind the scenes in order to get their way. That or that the Pokemon cheating is just a selfish prick. Which are you, Shane? A coward or a prick?”
Being too busy dealing with a squirming, pissed off Cubone, you only catch a glimpse out of the corner of your eye as the male Nidoran tackles his sister. He seems extremely pissed off and almost in a blind rage at this point. In your moment of distraction, you almost take a Bone Club to the head, but you’ve lost sight of the two Poison types.
Still struggling, you finally manage to roll over so that you’re on top of the Cubone and you bite fiercely at him. As his struggles weaken, you give a final Headbutt to his skull mask and he faints. You feel a little tired, but since you decided to Ambush him, you were able to eliminate the threat without expending too much energy.
Worried about Lori, you relieve the Cubone of his weapon and head in the direction the two Nidorans vanished in. If he wakes up, he’ll be weakened without his club and hey, maybe Aemi would be interested in purchasing it from you or something.
You barely pursue the couple at all before something comes bursting out at you. You see a flash of blue and you’re unsure if it’s Lori or Shane who barrels into you but after a few moments to clear your head, you can see the two wrestling. Both are sweating bullets and could faint at any moment. Maybe you should get involved… She told you not to get involved unless Shane started cheating and you’ve already dealt with his buddy. But it would be a shame to have come this far only to have her end up belly fat now. Do you do what Lori would want or what you want?
