It is, this is definitely a recurring theme throughout the story, the crushing guilt Vicktor/Nero has to bear as he watches the girls. That met with Chris's/Jack's overbearing apathy lends to quite a bit of conflict down the road. Also if you didn't notice they have Aliases..XD
