....so yeah XD it's New Years and we decided to shoot off some fireworks. We had a few left over from the 4th of July, we open them and decide to shoot some off.
What they were are these cannon ball things that have a fuse, you put them in a cardboard tube, light the fuse, and it's suppose to shoot up out of the tube into the sky and blow up. The first one we did in the street didn't do that....it stayed in the tube, and blew up on the road destroying the tube....... XDDD so my dad has the brilliant idea to make his own tube in the backyard and shoot off the rest of the balls in the back. Well.......ID DIDN'T WORK. The balls exploded in the tube, and created and short.....and very loud, fountain XD it was loud as shit.....but oh so pretty. This is a screenshot of a video I took while my dad was lighting these things up.

Ok not sure what brand of fireworks these were (if you know, define please) but if they did not go out of the tube, than likely the lift was bad, like moister had gotten too it, not sure how you stored these leftovers either from the 4th either. It is called either Artillery shells, or Festival balls, and the tube you load into is called the mortar. The first one from description implies a detonation where everything including the tube blows up, the other one that gave the fountain affect as you call it is referred to as a flowerpot but effect wise it be also more considered a mine-shell then a fountain, as it is a 1 shot effect, not continuous.
