This makes me picture a foal, Rainbow Dash acting all tough as she is showing every pony how she is the best flyer in all of Pegasus Preschool.

This picture makes me hear her foal voice just going on-and-on about how she's the best while she just keeps doing all she can to not be "Rainbow CRASH".

Not entirely certain that she could fly at this age, I'd wager her little body is more focused on developing her leg muscles at this point than the muscles at the base of her wings, but we don't know for sure

If she could fly however, they'd probably have to duct tape her diaper to her or something, knowing Rainbow Dash, she'd probably fly so fast that her diaper couldn't keep up with her, hehe ^^

You bring up some great points.

Realistically she'd need to get her legs going as I'd imagine the wings would take more time to develop the strength to lift her weight. Though as we saw in, Baby Cakes, Pegasi can start flying as early as a month old.

Fiction makes for so much room for possibilities. My guess is that the flying ability of the Pegasi is kind of like the flying ability of the dragons from Dragon Tales. This being there's a little magic that goes into making it possible.

The point of duct taping her diapers sounds cute, too. My mind races with a story of how difficult a diaper change on an energetic Foal Dash would be. I'd imagine it would be a team effort from both mom and dad to make it happen. :)

A month sounds about right, of course RD probably would've tried to fly as early as 1 or 2 weeks, walking would get boring really fast in her opinion ^^ I can picture her parents scolding her for trying to fly too soon "stop, you'll hurt yourself", that sort of thing

Magic would have to be involved, I might be overthinking this, but the ponies and the dragons from DT can be compared to bees, by the laws of physics, they shouldn't be able to fly, their wingspan and the area of each wing is disproportionate to their size, bees are an enigma in that sense

I thought of the duct tape because if any air gets inside a gap between the diaper and her body (from tugging on it slightly to check how wet it is for example) then as she flies faster more air will get inside, and before you know it, her diaper would fall off without warning, hehe ^^ but yeah, changing her would be a hassle I'm sure, because she can't play while she's laying down and being changed

I imagine how the duct tape scenario would come about: *dashie lands after a short, quick flight* "Dashie, where's your diaper?!" "I dunno, t'was dewe a momen' ago" hehe XD

That's quite fascinating how bees are an enigma to physics. I never thought of things like that. Though it does help in making up creative ways of how a Pegasus Pony can fly. :)

You give lots of inspiration for an Adventures in Parenting Dashie story. It'd be so neat seeing how mom and dad work with their tomboy foal who is always acting too big for her diapers.

A fun thing to end the story on would be to show Dash having foals of her own with her parents getting a chuckle over how her kids would be just as intense as foals as she was.

DASH: I was never like this! There's no way I could be this obnoxious as a foal! No, way!

DASH'S MOM & DAD: Oh, you have no idea...

As for who should write the story I think anyone could really do it. Though preferably someone who is super knowing of Rainbow Dash. Such an individual would possess proper knowledge of who her parents could be / are so the story could be more fun.

Lots of folks could write a good Baby Dashie. But it would be the perfect story if the parents had characteristics readers could relate with. This would make it humorous, entertaining, and cute. :)
