The beach is a glorious place.
I'm very lucky: my grandparents have a house a few blocks from the beach so it's only a 10 minute walk onto the golden sand.
So every summer we'd visit them for Christmas and I'd spend a few beautiful days there.
It was a wonderful escape from the stresses of study or actual employment and it continues to provide a wonderful moment of peace and tranquility to my life.

This piece is actually a follow up to White Flag, also by  hahul
Some people commented that in that one they'd like to see the character facing the viewer.
Now, no-one in their right mind faces back onto the rocks when down at the beach so instead of doing that I commissioned the same view from the opposite direction.
I've had this follow-up piece in mind for ages but didn't have a good reference photograph for the background, and by the time I did, hahul had gone on hiatus.
So when I saw he was taking commissions again, I lept at the chance!
