There's just something about faux fur and wetness that recreates that wet dog smell. (Probably bringing out some Human scent, too.) So, best seen and not smelled.

I wash my suit after cons and keep them hung up at cons and sprayed with deodorizer while at cons. I also always wear underarmour under my suits. Suited in snow several times, gotten pretty wet from it and I've never run into that issue.

Then, it probably is as I suspected. A kind of mixture with the perspiration from the Human wearer, beneath.

It is very wise of you to maintain your suit to such lengths. Here's to it's long, healthy lifespan.
