Putting On the Boots
Maksio5 suggested this as a possible drawing subject a little while back; myself sat down and in the process of slipping my paws into a pair of the 'Camden' pawboots I designed a while ago. I liked the idea well enough myself that it (eventually) happened!

*whines* Eeeeeee... I could watch you put those on and take'em off again ALL day! Love that those sexy Dorey-toes show through against that awesome black leather and nice treads. Great work on the perspective here as well. And glasses! Quite the sophisticated looking rebel floof dragon. ^_^ LOVE it.
I could happily do it for ya all day. ;) The combination of leather and treads and toes is what keeps me loving this boot design so much myself! Glad I'm not the only one. ^^ Pleased with how the perspective turned out myself, thanks! And as for the glasses, I'm wearing them pretty much all the time irl anymore and thought they'd be cute in the art too. Sophisticated yet rebellious and cute and goofy...

Aww, well the glasses very much fit the doctor image anyway. ^_^ Oh definitely like it - not just for the sexy toes poking out, but knowing how much of a big deal those boots are to Dorey. Getting into your head a bit for writing was very useful for getting to understand this better. :) Just don't go showing those boots to certain furred friends - they might take advantage. ;)
I still love the idea of dragon paw Vibrams and draw them every now and then, however I'm sorry to say I don't do commissions. It's for a variety of reasons, but most especially I've started working full time recently and don't have much free time for art anymore! If you find somebody else to commission I'm more than happy for you to use my paw-wear designs as reference material, but I'm afraid that's the best I can offer! I really appreciate your interest though. :)
Thanks much! ^^ Yeah, stubbed toes are a risk with these boots, and I've done a number of designs that do protect them more for that reason. These ones are more casual though, and like the look of the free toes plus it seems like it could feel comfy and free. There is a pawboot design for all needs, moods, and occasions! ^^
I had ideas for socks that are like this, between the toes but leaves them uncovered. I rarely ever see it in other art, and I like the idea a lot. Two problems: I have no money (for commissions) and I am not a great artist, that is, for anything other than objects. THE SEARCH CONTINUES...
I love the idea too. ^^ Seems like a neat balance between protecting the paws and covering them with material, but letting the toes remain exposed for grip and feel (and cuteness).
