Tada! More boring history panels!
So I ended up using yet another different scanner for this page. Sadly it has its flaws as well. No matter what I put the settings on I couldn't get this scanner to scan at a higher resolution. Adjusting the exposure and contrast in GIMP can only get you so far if the resolution is poor. *sigh* I want my old scanner back, which wasn't actually ever mine in the first place...
