sagisou...He grouched that I never draw reptiles or dragons...well, point is, I cannot draw them...somehow a devil's circle...but, to please a good fellow (him), I designed Bartholomew Roberts as a Welsh Red Dragon....
Bartholomew Roberts was a fascinating person, and his biography is interesting also for those who are not so used with pirates at all...
Born John Roberts (May 17, 1682 - February 10, 1722), Bartholomew Roberts, also known as Black Bart Roberts, was a Welsh pirate who raided shipping off the Americas and West Africa between 1719 and 1722. He was the most successful pirate of the Golden Age of Piracy, capturing far more ships than some of the best-known pirates of this era such as Blackbeard or Captain Kidd. He is estimated to have captured over 470 vessels. He is also known as Black Bart (Welsh: Barti Ddu), but this name was never used in his lifetime.

As some more short info, he drank only tea, sent his men to bed at eight o' clock and was the first who formed the famous Pirate Code.
The outfit he is always portrait (too by me), was the one he died in, and many eyewitness proved the wig, the red-golden coat and the golden cross..

It looks very good. Especially the clothes. But his face looks a bit boney to me. But for you sayig you can't do dragons good, he came out very well. Little critic is, if you didn't planed it like that: you missed his tail. Or did you want to leave it out? ^^ Well, it still is a sketch^^
