
My wife Imelda works as a phlebotomist (draws blood samples) for a local hospital on the graveyard shift. Her supervisor, aware of my *ahem* artistic proclivities, requested a picture of Gadget as a phlebotomist for the lab there. Since it was from her supervisor, I thought it would be politic to acquiesce
Hence, "Phlebotomouse". This is acrylic paint on Bristol board with ink outlining (pencil - ink - erase pencil - reink weak spots - paint with acrylic washes - final reinking ).
Scans are never perfect, but this is close and, yes, Imelda does have a lavendar outfit similar to this. B-)-

I think doing this drawning for her was time well spent, and a very sweet gesture. While I don't think many little kids these days know who Gadget is, seeing an image like that one when they are getting blood drawn would bring a smile to their faces. How could it be really scary if a sweet little mouse girl wants to do it.
