I like the look of it, too. It's a result of reworking the sketch opposed to tracing over it, to capture the quality of the sketch while still producing a clean artwork.

Very cool. I've always wondered about that game too. Is it any good?

I think it's got a niche appeal to it-- I like it a lot, but I can just as easily see people being frustrated with it. It's like a jrpg that focuses on exploration, strategy and to an extent managing your resources. It does those things really well. It's not very story driven, although it's considered. A big part of the game is drawing your own map, so that should be a big factor in deciding whether you would want to play or not. The game's also pretty long, I haven't beaten it yet and I've clocked in over 70 hours.
