Just a little story that I wrote on DeviantArt, I guess I could show it on Furaffinity too.
Dullahan - Duskull
Alaric - Serperior (Not related to Lance at all)
Lance - Snivy (Not related to Alaric at all)
Eve - Eevee (Related to Lance)
Caldene - Lunatone
Jackson - Gengar
Goddess Cresselia - Cresselia
Gawain - Charizard
“Citizens of Avalon! Or as you would prefer to call it… Aether.” Dullahan spoke loudly as a big crowd gathered around him, including Lance himself. “The reason for all these occurrences is that the celestial stone is not in its rightful place. You must place said stone on the altar on the mountain. The reason you must do this, is so the typing of Fairy can be revealed and everyone who is part Fairy or is whole Fairy will not be inflicted by this strange illness. Everyone who have defeated their shadows must follow me to the high priest Caldene. Please meet me at the edge of town, where the graveyard is.” He stopped speaking to catch his breath from his long speech.
When the Duskull finished, there were a few murmurs here and there in the crowd then the Duskull was not there. He must’ve went to the graveyard, waiting for us. Lance thought to himself.
“Alright, anyone of you that had defeated your shadows and wishes to accompany me and Gawain at the graveyard, please follow me.” The king looked around, then he slithered slowly towards the graveyard with Gawain and most of the Aether habitants following him. Lance readied his sword and shield incase anything suspicious happened at the graveyard. I don’t trust that Duskull guy, this feel very trap worthy. then he looked at Eve who stared back at Lance.
“Why are you coming with us, Eve? It’s a bit dangerous for a 4 year old, you know.” Lance pointed out.
“I don’t want my big cousin getting hurt!” Eve shouted a little loud, but at least no one responded except Lance.
“Well that’s brave of you but, this is real dangerous stuff.” Lance sighed then shrugged. “Why do I bother..”
“Okay, we are right here!” The king shouted. They arrived at the graveyard with the same Duskull from earlier.
The Duskull noticed the arrival of the King and all the other habitants that had come. “I see that you all have come. Very we---“
“There are only gravestones, nothing else.” Gawain looked around.
“That’s true. Now do not interrupt me again. Anyway, I have this special key that will open a pathway. Be wary though all these gravestones are belonged to me. Do not touch them.” The Duskull replied. “Now, let us enter the hidden chamber.” He slowly inserted the key into a hole in one of the gravestones which was moving on its own! Then the ground opened up in front of the gravestone, which exposed a set of stairs leading down to darkness. The habitants were shocked or amazed or even not amused by this contraption.
“King Alaric and Gawain, you two follow me first. The rest of you may follow behind” Dullahan floated over the stairs and waited for the king’s response.
Alaric nodded and followed Dullahan down the stairs with Gawain behind them, then everyone else slowly went down the stairs after Gawain.
“Lance, are we suuuure we’re in the right place?” Eve tilted her head a little with one ear sticking up and the other ear drooped down a little, like she was begging for food.
“I don’t know Eve, I don’t like this one bit.” Lance grasped his sword closely. Thinking about what bad things could happen, everyone could end up in one big room, the door closes behind them and they all fall for a long time into a pit of spikes. Then the Duskull could take over the town. Lance shook his head, to get all that imaginations out of his mind.
“Who goes there?” A Lunatone floated up and turned around to see Dullahan, Alaric, Gawain and everyone else.
“Do not fear, it is me. I have bought the people that you have requested. They have defeated their shadows and the king that leads them.” Dullahan spoke quietly.
“Perfect.” The Lunatone replied. “I am the High Priest, Caldene. I have waited for 1,000 years and tonight is the only night where we can place the celestial stone, this is so you can be relieved of your suffering of the Fairy types being ill and the dragon types being aggressive. However, beyond this door lies a soul of the ancient king. He swore to protect the celestial stone with his life. Of course, the people here who have defeated their shadows are able to help him see reason as he is the one who summoned your shadows to attack you.”
Lance thought to himself. So that’s why a shadow clone of me wanted to attack me.
Caldene closed his eyes and opened them again. “Now, I am here to test you. You must place the celestial stone onto the altar. Is that understood?”
The king nodded. “Yes, please take us to this ancient king.” He ordered.
“Very well.”
“Before… we go in. Let me ask my people.” The snake turned around. “Anyone who wish to confront the ghost king, please follow me. If not, please return to your homes.”
“Eve, this is your last chance, I think you should go back now.” Lance kneeled down to Eve. “I don’t want you getting hurt.”
“But I don’t want YOU getting hurt!” Eve replied back. “I don’t like losing my best cousin!” She pawed at Lance’s chest.
“Well I don’t like losing mine either.” Lance smiled. “You stay close to me, don’t go running off unless I tell you to, okay?”
Eve nodded. “Don’t worry! I won’t get bitten!”
Alaric nodded at Caldene, letting him know that he is ready to go through the door to see the ancient king. “Be prepared as I am now attempting to open the door.” The Lunatone glowed pink and the door glowed pink as well, then it slowly opened…
Silence came by and everyone slowly came into the room, then suddenly the door closed, making a loud smash noise which broke the silence. Then a ominous feeling came to everyone, Lance readied his sword and his shield and Eve whimpered under Lance’s legs.
Then a booming voice came. “Leave NOW!” Shadows started forming in the center to reveal a Gengar with his eyes glowing bright red. “I said... LEAVE!” his voice echoed across the room.
“We’re seeking for the celestial stone.” The king hissed. “We need it to---“
“Stone? My stone? You never will get my stone! I will never go off my stone!” The Gengar roared. “It does not belong to a foul Snake and their pesky ‘mon.”
“You must bring it back or people will be sick and could possibly die.” Lance shouted. “Guinevere can’t-“
“Never! You must leave now! Or die!” The Gengar boomed his voice loudly at the snake.
“This guy is getting on my nerves.” Lance growled and had his sword up high ready to attack.
“I can deal with him, Alaric!” Gawain came forward and was about to use Aerial Ace on the Gengar.
“HOLD IT!”
There appeared… the Goddess Cresselia.
Lance stared, looking amazed at the pokemon that stood before him and everyone else, including Eve. Is that really? That’s Cresselia, I heard of stories of her.
“What do you think you’re doing, King Jackson?” The Cresselia glared at the Gengar. “You must not try threaten Pokemon like that.”
“I… huh? Goddess Cresselia?” Jackson came to himself and with no emotions going to him. He stared directly at the Cresselia’s eyes.
“It’s true.”
“What is?”
“The people of Aether. They need the celestial stone placed on the altar, otherwise they will die. And all the blame will be on you.” Goddess Cresselia came closer, putting all the pressure on the Gengar.
“But… I… I dedicated my whole life to protect the stone! There is no way I will give it up!” Jackson shook his head. “Unless… I’m assuming they’re not enemies and they are important to you?”
The Cresselia nodded. “That is why you MUST return it.”
“Oh… Alright.” Jackson grabbed out a stone and held it carefully in his grasp. “I…” He walked slowly to the King. “You must have it then. Place it on the altar.” Then he placed it carefully in the Serperior’s vines.
“Someone please, hold the stone for me. I have trouble holding objects, even with my vines.” The king ordered. Then one of the Aether habitants came forwards and held the stone for the king. Unfortunately Lance couldn’t see who it was as there were bigger ‘mons in his way.
While Alaric and Jackson were busy having a conversation with the Goddess Cresselia, Gawain sighed and turned his head around to see a sparkling stone that attracted him. He came closer to it and tapped it with his claws.
“NO!” The Gengar shouted at Gawain.
Suddenly Gawain started transforming into a mega Charziard X. “Rwaaaaaawwwwwwrrrrrgh!” Gawain roared loudly and his eyes were glowing red just like Jackson’s eyes, his scales turned from orange to jet black, and he had blue flames coming out of his mouth then he breathed blue fire across the ground.
“Waaargh! He activated the mega stone! He is now part dragon and will try kill you all! Please, take the celestial stone to the altar, quickly!” Jackson shouted in panic.
“Gawain! Stop! W-what are you doing?” King Alaric was in shock. “We are not to attack our own people!”
“Save your breath, he won’t listen to a word you say! Warriors! Go attack Gawain while the other pokemon take the celestial stone to the altar!” Jackson ordered.
“Some turn of events! Eve, go help take the celestial stone to the altar!” Lance shouted.
“What about you?!” Eve shouted back in panic.
“Just do it! I’ll be fine.”
“Okay!” Eve ran off quickly to avoid any fire.
“Okay… Gawain.” Lance turned around and held his shield high against Gawain.
The Charizard breathed powerful soaring beam of fire at Lance’s shield, using the move Inferno on him. “Nggh!” Lance groaned as his leaf started going slightly black and burned also the rest of his body started to go slightly black too. Then Lance reflected the inferno back at Gawain with Mirror Coat which did twice the damage he did to the Snivy.
Lance groaned a little as a burning aura was inside him, eating him alive from the inside. He felt much weaker after the burn of Inferno. But he was not going to give up, even with a bad type disadvantage. Then Alaric fired off a leaf storm at Gawain and shouted. “Gawain! Please! Stop! We are not your enemies!”
Then Gawain was about to strike an aerial ace at the Serperior.
“Alaric, get back!” Lance hissed and jumped in front of him, he held his shield high and made Gawain press his claws against the spikes, making him feel a lot of pain. Which made the Charizard more angry to breath Inferno against Lance, luckily he dodged the Inferno and was covered in a little bit of dirt as well as with the burn marks.
Lance groaned again, the burning sensation is taking over him, making him feel dizzy. “Ugh... that first attack did me good.” Then he shook his head. “No! I am not going to give up.” He growled angrily. He dropped his shield and held his sword up high, he leaped up high into the air and slashed the Charizard’s forehead. It did barely any damage to Gawain.
“Oh c’mon… what does it take to get a Charizard down?” Lance wheezed and panted slowly. Then Gawain’s eyes stopped glowing red and he was confused at what happened.
“What happened?” The Charizard looked at himself.
“Good… Eve must’ve put the stone on the altar.” Lance sighed and sat down.
“Lance!” Eve rushed by and pounced onto the Snake. “Some big giant mouth thing and a round thing that were glowing pink put the stone on the altar. Oh and.. are you okay? Are you hurt? You got black stuff on you! That means it’s not good! We have to get the big dinosaur!” She panicked.
“I’m fine Eve… really…” Lance sighed. “Just… I need…”
“What do you need? Berries? Food?! Water?!? CAKE?!?!” Eve shouted.
“I need…” Lance looked at Eve. “…you to shut up.” Then Lance collapsed onto the floor.
