I figured after a few private questions it would be a good idea to really share where I get everything that I work with! :D
I also wanted to make a list that people can favorite to look back on!
Casting Resin:
http://specialtyresin.com/castingresins.html
I purchase four different resins! as follows.
Bright white top layer= Fabri-cast 50
Yellowish thicker filler layers= Model-Pro
Black resin!= Model-Pro Black
Dyeable resin= Color-Pro
When trying to dye resin, use resin dyes or powdered pigments at times!
Silicones:
Mold making!: http://illuseffects.com/rtvsilicone.htm
I personally use the yellow catalyst! and when I make molds I only use about two layers of this silicone
Thick mold layers, Oogoo! (see mordrudesmonsters tutorial here!)

Where to get supplies? Walmart. CLEAR silicone caulking. cornstarch.
For casting pawpads, tongues and noses etc!= Smooth-on Dragonskin FX-Pro silicone: http://www.smooth-on.com/Silicone-R.....339/index.html
This particular silicone cures swiftly. you will be able to pull your item in about an hour! Though it cures very soft. PERFECT for tongues, noses, and soft pawpads. NOT recommended for foot pads. Amount of paint used in coloring the silicone will change the dry time. More paint used the longer it will take to dry :)
I pigment ALL of my silicone with simple acrylic paint!
(100 or so casts of things using it will prove that to me and hopefully you)
Smooth-On mold release! please save your molds by using this! :) http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/131069816747?lpid=82

Yeah, their facebook page has been nothing but angry customers for the past month or two. No coupon codes, they launched a new website update when it was super glitchy, and just their usual messing up orders and whatnot. It's a damn mess. Yet somehow still the website I use most.
I'm curious about the acrylic paint for silicone pigments too! :o Not that I don't love my slic pig, but it would be interesting to see what acrylic might do to it.
At first I thought you meant painting finished silicone with acrylic and I was like nuuuuu impossibru!... but then I derped in my comprehension there. Although! I am very curious to try Psycho Paint :)

oh yeah XD haha when people bring up painting up tongues and noses that are silicone I'm just like NUUUUU!
Just a little bit of even the simplest acrylic! not even the best stuff! simple cheap walmart acrylics in the bottle do the trick! though for black paint I find that it helps to have a thicker like tube acrylic :b I still have yet to try oil paint! I bet that stuff works SO well!

oh! XD and yeah! totally color silicone with acrylic! I found out by just going WHELP let's see. and it's always turned out great! :D however the amount of paint used in the silicone can affect the drying time :) not too much though normally! sometimes I have to use gobs of black paint to get my silicone to be black not grey. but in that case, using thicker paint does the trick, like tube acrylic instead of bottle acrylic. I bet Oil paint works WONDERSSS!
you can! a lot of people do it :) BUT you absolutely positively need to mold release your mold first! and never cast oogoo in a silicone mold. that stuff is just too tough and no amount of mold release will get it to separate :C
but what I use normally is plain old plaster of paris! you can get it most anywhere! :) but for more detailed things using silicone and maybe even silicone in a couple layers with plaster as a filler/holder/mothermold! :)

What about clay? I heard sulfur free was good.. However, I have no idea how much of it I should get! I'm only planning on making canine blanks for right now, and I don't want to order a WHOLE bunch of it Dx
A point in the right direction would be highly appreciated. thankyou!
