OKAY LIKE just as I'm saving it I realize somewhere along the line I had hid a layer to see what I was doing and forgot to unhide it. FFFF so he doesn't have the darker chest/tummy/mouth area but when I went to try and overlay some dark areas it just didn't look right. SOOOOO whoops /shrugs

Clothing ref. He wears chainless manacles that control his magic, stopping him from using it when he isn't supposed to or allowing only a certain amount through as deemed appropriate by his master.

Well it's kinda like... like dogs right! Generally, you associate friendliness, loyalty, etc as dog-like traits. Doesn't mean every dog is gonna be nice. :o
He's had a tough life--got put into servitude, is forced to control his magics, and so naturally he's gonna be a bit defensive and keep a bit of a shell up.
Still has that natural curiosity, and should one become someone he loves, while he'd be TOTALLY TSUNDERE ABOUT IT, he would love affection and closeness.
