Alone Time with the Orca
After all the guests have gone home, one hyena (surprise surprise, it's Enigma) swiftly sneaks back into the waterpark to be with his favourite aquatic predator - the orca! I doubt I need to do any further explaining here XD The amazing disappearing hyena trick in 3, 2, 1, GULP.
On a serious note I absolutely DO NOT SUPPORT ORCA CAPTIVITY OR THE WAY PLACES LIKE SEAWORLD TREAT THEM. In my art orcas are treated well and are willing performers...if only that were true in real life :/
Feels good to be back to traditional art though! Used Letraset Promarkers, Micron fine-liners, Sakura gel pens and standard pencils for this.

Gosh, I'm stunned! :O That sheen you were telling me about on Skype: it looks fantastic! Very accurate reflection of light from the water! Orca looks great, Enigma looks great and oh, what a delight so see that this is a traditional work! Makes it all the more impressive, I say! Yes, the winner for me is how you've drawn the water on that orca's body! Really well done, you! :D
Thanks once again Tene! Just trying to prove that traditional is still a force to be reckoned with and that good art doesn't have to come from a cold digital art program. Not gonna lie, I panicked part way through when things weren't blending right but it just needed time to bleed into eachother - phew!
Orcas are one of my favourite creatures so it's always great to work on pictures of them. Super shiny! Maybe one day I'll draw one that isn't eating Enigma haha

Orca tongues are the bomb! I'm so jealous of people who've been lucky enough to stroke their tongue :'c Orcas are so amazing though, huge squishy mouths and giant shiny bodies, what's not to love?
Going by Enigma's expression I doubt he'd mind at all...that's if he lasts long enough by the time you get there, I think he's already on his way inside! It's not like gripping that tongue will keep him in place...

He definitely is happy to be the one feeding that predator - although most people would just settle for throwing fish in that mouth. Nope! Enigma has to BE the food XD He must taste good, that orca looks pleased too!
