Our tale begins at the edge of a forest just before dawn. A small dragon no more then a foot long with fur as red as a rose and green as an olive, lay under a tree with vines laced around it. She was utterly unhappy, a type of unhappy that nothing in the world could possibly get rid of, or so she felt. Little did she know that her greatest friend is searching for her at this very moment, although he was trying to find the kitty that she once was. With his powerful black nose the dog, resembling a bright green husky, sniffed about the forest trying to find his kitty.
As he followed her scent he started to smell a different smell mingling with the familiar aroma of his kitty. The smell was almost a spicy tingle in his nose, it was similar to the cat's but with a distinct hint of something else. The husky instantly knew what this meant, and he hurried his pace, he was determined to find his kitty. As he got closer the spicy scent grew stronger and he was aware his sweet little kitty was not like herself today, she's been down and gloomy for sometime now, so he expected he would find her coiled up, in her morose state of mind. Gage, being the positive doggy he always was, also had a plan to fix this predicament of hers and make her happy again. When he found his sweet kitty she was exactly as he predicted.
Mirera, the kitty now-gone-dragon, grumbled as Gage, found her and nudged her with his nose.
“Aww, what is wrong, fluff butt?” He said with his biggest pouty puppy face.
Mirera, mumbled something incoherent and turned over, curling up into a ball once again, even smaller then before. Gage let out a huff as his efforts of cuteness failed him. He sat there for a moment rolling a risky idea in his noggin. Grinning, he jumped up and grabbed the grumpy-gills dragon by her scruff and picked her up in his maw. She grumbled more and squirmed around trying to escape, her little body was no match, but he knew he'd have to do something before she got angry and grow twice his size... She struggled more and grabbed a hold of one of the vines but Gage pulled her away from the tree, ripping the vine out with her holding it.
He carried her and hummed a happy tune while skipping around. “Cheer up, silly dwagon!” He hoped his attitude would point out he wasn't going to let her go until she was a kitty once again- or at least in a better mood. The dragon continued to grumble, stuck her lip out, pouted, and crossed her arms knowing he was winning. Her frown and grumbles falling on deaf doggy ears took a good five-to-ten minutes before it finally became a small smile and then a smile from ear to ear as she rolled her eyes, and giggled, enjoying his happy mood. He was growing on her, whether she liked it or not. Her mood was a little lifted, but her form would not change until she really felt it.
Even though she looked happy he still kept at it, promising she wouldn't be let go until he was convinced – which meant her being a kitty again. He continued to hum songs he knew until he thought up one that he enjoyed very much. He started to hum “I'm Yours” by Jason Mraz and this did the trick! Her tail started to bush out, her scales and olive fur turned into a crème white color, the bright fiery red fur turned to a more blush pink, and she became quite a mouthful of fluff. Although she was now a cat, Gage did not let her go instantly, instead, he put her on his back so she could have a piggy back ride while he danced and hummed as the sun rose in the sky. The kitty was very thankful she had Gage around to be there for her. They both giggled and laughed, danced and sang together until they were both in a pile of fur, sleeping the day away with smiles on their muzzles.
