Here's some concept art of a fantasy universe I've been working on as of late. Each of these three reptilians is a member of a different tribe dispersed on an unnamed continent. Their people used to rule until the lands were invaded by human and elven armies.
On the left is a Talranden, a member of the desert tribe. They once roamed the sands freely but have been pushed to a narrow strip of desert by the Calivite Elves. Locked in a constant fight for freedom, their only hope of survival is their own fighting ability. This particular Talranden is a light cavalryman, bearing his peoples' colors of yellow and red.
Center is one of the Korvolk, the lizard-men of the swamps in the center of the continent. They live in peace with the humans, and when a plague sweeps through the human kingdoms, they are forced to go to the disease-resistant reptilians for help. The character here is displaced from his native culture, taken into human society as a physician.
Finally, on the right is a Sarvolk warlord. Unlike the other tribes, the Sarvok have retained their own rule over their lands--at least a small portion of them--in return for assisting the humans defend against an orcish invasion. The Sarvolk try to keep their coastal territory peaceful in order to trade, thus their best warriors often sell their services to human rulers.
As of now these three are unnamed but I'll have names for them soon enough.

ooh great to see you finally post again and I'm loving the designs on these reptillians!
it's so very rare that one see differnt cultures elevated on a reptillian race, usually the reptillians all "that kind of people" not several differnt kinds. other than that I'm loving the textured feel to the colouring especially when complimented with detailed pattern like on the robe of the desert reptile and with a stricking stylish background that fits the overall textured feel just perfectly!
I very much look forward to see what else you draw from this story of yours (and to nagging you about certain themes =P )

Thanks, mate! I'm glad you like it. Reptilians do deserve a bit more attention, I think. In The Elder Scrolls games you can read about all sorts of Argonian sub-species that are very different from one another, but you only ever see one type of Argonian. I thought it would be fun to base a whole fantasy series around some scalyfolk. :D
