OBLIGITARY OC IMAGE INCOMING

Dusky in a style inspired by Earthsong9405 and Dennybutt's work. To say real horse anatomy is a weakpoint of mine is an understatement, sadly. Which is part of why “Legacy” has two unicorn characters people very rarely see. XD; I still wanted to try it.
Also, I just had this idea of batponies having cloven hooves. Not necessarily because unicorns have them, it kinda has more to so with a lot of the superstitions surrounding cloven hooves and animals that have them. In Jewish culture animals with cloven hooves are seen to be “unclean” and while there are some exceptions to this it’s at least part of why pigs aren’t “kosher.” This also probably has something to do why Satan is often portrayed as having cloven hooves.
In general, they’re just associated with evil and bad mojo all around.

Of course, I don’t think batponies are evil, any more do I think pigs, goats, or any cloven hooved animal is evil. However, it do think it would play neatly with other batpony characteristics that make them seem “evil.”

Tail…is honestly based off my own confusion on heraldic unicorns. While most have the long, leonine tails, I’ve seen a number or depictions of what look at best like short lion tails? I’ve also heard those kind of tails described like goat tails, but I think goats with those kind of tails usually have their tails DOCKED so it’s hard for me to find good pictures.
Still, the “Legacy” unicorns have short tails like this, and dangit, I think it works well enough for batponies. At least Dusky, who I just tend to make look as scruffy and runt-ish in general.
