Well this is my bit for an Art Trade between me and 
emeritusterciel He wanted the both of us as Green Lanterns so I thought I'd do us flying through space together. Had fun with this one designing a good Lantern uniform for Lig. ^^ Oh and thanks for the ref Terry. Was very helpful. ^^
"So...any civilization on that planet down there?" Lig asked flying through space still not used to being a Lantern yet.
"Yeah but it's still pre-industrial revolution so all we have to do is a fly by. Make sure nothing's causing trouble with them and that they get left alone to develop. That sort of thing." Terry explained with a bit of a smile at his new companion. A second Lantern would certainly make covering this sector easier.
"Oh Ok I get it. Nice planet. I still can't get over it. Flying through space at FTL speeds without a ship. Seeing alien worlds like this up close." Lig grinned doing a lil twirl as he flew.
"Yeah it's pretty cool. You never get completely used to it. Anyway the uniform looks good on you." Terry remarked noting that Lig had gone a lil old fashioned with the gloves but that his uniform seemed to have stripes in the same places mostly that Lig had his own. He still didn't get why the Liger wanted a hood but it was his uniform.
"Thanks! Speaking of which do you fly around often without the pants? I mean we're in space so I guess you don't have to worry much about anyone seeing ya." Lig remarked glancing down at his own diaper and up at Terry's.
"Not all the time but often enough. And yeah why not. It's not like anyone's around and it just takes a thought to snap the pants on." Terry nodded.
"Not that they do a whole lot to hide our crinkly bottoms." Lig giggled in unison with Terry.
"Race to the next system?" Terry asked with a grin.
"Your on!" Lig smirked and with that the two Lanterns zoomed off faster than light in their race on Patrol.
Well hope you guys liked the pic and the lil story. Especially you Terry. ^^

Glad you like it. ^^ As for the background I used a simple star field brush trying to keep it a bit random, put in a few spacy things using some other brushes. As for the planet I believe I used Mercury as a base and then used a one layer set to Color to change the color on the planet to make it look habitable. I basically filled the darker areas blue and went with green around it. Then I used a thick cloud covered Earth brush set to white on a lower opacity for the atmosphere. Lastly one more layer where I used the same near black color as space to shade the dark side of the planet.
