i'm a fan of Star Trek as well, and have pretty much been raised on TNG, as some of my earliest memories, that evolved to TOS, and so on. I'm a bit nerdy with many other shows, although i'm not one of the stereotypical "extreme nerds" and often i appear a little ditsy in general, until someone gets me talking about the (insert nerd universe here), at which point they often are like this: "O.o you're a nerd?!"

I was always a TNG fan too. I love all the star treks very much. (aside from DS9)
I also loved the remake of Battlestar Galactica, and other sci fi too. But the original constitution class and refit from star trek are my all time favorite ships of all time.

yup!! i must admit, i've fallen in love with NX-01 and crew, and i agree. never liked DS9 much. was far too... er.. "roseanne" in nature.

and yup, love the new BSG, and am partial to Capirca, mainly due to it's shadowrun-esqe nature.

HA! Thats the perfect description of what's wrong with DS9. Enterprise is an awesome show once you get into it. Trip is one of my all time favorite characters. Haven't watched Capirca yet, though I might be inclined to give it a shot soon

yup!! Trip is a good one for me! loves him!! thing Scott Bakula did a pretty good time with being captain. Tpau, i liked as well. And you should! if you one, want to know the (imagined) events that lead up to EVERYTHING and why it all happened, that's the show for you. also, like i said, it's shadowrun-esque. be careful though, because unlike BSG, Caprica is more political-centered with little action and a lot of story. i know a few BSG'ers who are more fans of the action than anything, and they dont like caprica for that difference.
