Here is the fourth and final panel of the Pogo strip wrapping up the subway related theme and some of the realities of the NYC subway system of the time. FYI - most of these problems are gone although general garbage still continues to be a problem (unlike the DC metro people can eat and drink in the stations and on board the trains). Vandalism is much lower than it used to be thanks to a general police presence in the system which was enhanced after 9/11 and graffiti is gone due to a special coating on the trains which allows all paints and markers to be washed off in the train washing stations in the train yards.
