World1 Medieval Notes

World1 is an intermixed planet with multiple elements of dragons as well as the human race too. The dragon types are fire, wind, water, nature, and earth. World1 dragons have the ability to make “lovebreaths” which will be explained later. The planet itself is a little smaller than earth and contains only 3 continents of decent size 1 contains the earth and nature dragons as well as a good deal of humans. Another contains the ice and wind dragons as well as “the main homeland of humans. The final is solely occupied by fire dragons as it is an ashen landscape of active volcanos. Male humans are around chest height on male dragons and female humans are about chest height on female dragons. Only nature is exception to this. Dragons on this planet will regenerate almost any injury it is not a quick process and can take years to fully regenerate, it takes such a toll on the body that with enough injury the dragon can pass into a comatose state till the body is famished they will then awake and eat anything nearby before passing back out.
Fire
Physical Attributes
Most fire dragons are somewhat athletic in appearance around 99% of fire dragons are red or yellow or some varying shade of the aforementioned however like all dragons the 1% can end up as any color it is just exceedingly rare. Their horns and claws are ashen black. Fire dragons are the strongest creatures on their planet if a normal person can lift 200lbs was infused with the fire element they would be able to lift 1000lbs. However their scales are a little more flimsy than the norm being a tradeoff of the strength they still are draconic scales and are by no means weak.
Fire dragons have a higher body core temperature than other dragons and even humans their flesh can be warm sometimes even hot to the touch. They are very much at home in their volcanic territory and do in fact bathe in lava without consequence, however they are not a fan of the cold and are unable to go too far into Ice/wind territory without bundling up and are fully unable to go into the main city due to the freezing temperatures as they hit hypothermia much sooner than a human would.
Diet
The fire diet consists solely of meat as they are full blown carnivores however they do not mind using spices to give new flavor to their food but infact the more hot the more burnt the more spicy a meal the more they enjoy it. They won’t eat outright ash but they will burn their food damn near to it and love every bite. They absolutely adore spicy foods as well and also alcohol their body generally burns up the alcohol preventing them from getting drunk however something burning in their belly is actually quite pleasing so many fire dragons are heavy drinkers and it is not restricted by age.
Culture
Fire culture is not dominated by one gender or another and truly fire is not controlled by your lineage or who you know it is controlled solely by your own actions. If you want your job you will earn it you will fight for it or plan or generally work for your position. No one is in any spot in fire culture without having earned that position. It is quite similar in the home as well if you want to be the household leader/dominant you will earn it male or female it can oftentimes become a knock down drag out fight but as this is such a common occurrence no fire dragon holds it against another they are quick to fight and quick to forgive.
In this way the genders have remained equal as both genders are just as capable of a fight as the other. So males and females go to war, males and females stay at home with the children, it just depends on how hard you want to fight for that position or getting out of it. Many people are quite happy where they are as they either fought or accepted the position and see no problems with it at all. Fire dragons can get quite rowdy at times and they love a good fight but overall a fire dragon is a good and reliable ally who will be there anytime you need them. Fire dragons also use lava to bathe with rather than water. Their funeral rites also involve cannibalism as the eating of the loved ones makes them be with them forever and allows the loved one to help provide food even in death, it is not a time of mourning and is instead of time of celebration of their life.
Lovebreath
To explain what a lovebreath is it is a stone essentially created from a deep emotional bond a dragon feels for someone. If a dragon feels a great deal of love or care for a person they will be willed to show it in a solid form. A fire dragon will hold out their hands and breathe into them creating a stone of solid fire. At first it is just a large lump about the size of their fist but only they can personally carve the lovebreath. Fire lovebreaths are the most valuable as they are the most beautiful and many people will in fact try to steal it.
The fire lovebreath looks very much like a red gem with a faint glow from within and looking into it makes it look alike to a large fire within it swirls and moves and is truly beautiful it is also warm to the touch and while it isn’t going to save you on a winter night it will be a nice bit of warmth for your hands.

Because of living on such an active landscape there are many jobs along the line of geological surveyors and truthfully fire dragons are the most adept at knowing the home landscape activity; they plan ahead as much as they can for volcanic and earthquake activity whether explosions or lavaflows and the like. It is not a perfect system and sometimes there are mistakes or accidents as flows go through towns now and again. Usually no one is hurt but the town melting is of issue.
Fire make bricks out of lava and will sometimes use lava to also glue the cooled pieces together to make their homes. The main fire city resides in the shadow of the largest volcano on the island it is still active however it has a large wall of cooled lava preventing it from flowing down one side which is where the city resides. The city is made up of some of the biggest buildings: iron skyscrapers and lavabrick buildings it has a bustling trade center and oceanic access as well. The only races that cannot go deep into the fire continent are water and ice due to the dryness and heat respectively. For food the fire dragons were mainly fishermen in the past but also practiced cannibalism, but due to the introduction of other races as well as their food products the cannibalism has faded.
Earth
Physical Attributes
Earth dragons are overall very thick not fat just “big boned” they are overall quite large and their normal look is something of your average strongman competitor: not overall sculpted muscle but definite weight muscle and strength in their look. They are also very dense and therefore heavy, a 200lb man with the earth element would ramp up to 600lbs but they have no trouble moving as they are accustomed to the weight and are the 2nd strongest race after fire. Their weight, strength, and overall durability make them on average the most dangerous fighters as they are locomotives. They are able to go anywhere cold hot wet but they mostly prefer earthen areas and however cannot swim due to their dense weight and on top of that they have no wings and therefore cannot fly. They are mostly brown and or black in coloration. The horns and claws are rocklike in look sometimes black but usually a dull brown in color.
Diet
Earth dragons prefer earthy food: carrots, turnips, potatoes generally underground growing food but they do similar for animals too such as moles rabbits and other ground dwelling animals. They also have a liking for stews.
Culture
Earth dragons are thought by some to be unemotional but in truth they are just not very reactive, while they won’t be walked all over they aren’t easy to get to react strongly too much of anything. They are also very slow to act and decide, each decision they make is very thought out and considered before being fully chosen. They also speak in a much slower pace as well as very monotone however it is not intolerably so.
Lovebreath
The earth lovebreath is actually the least valued monetarily since it is essentially just a rock yet it is also the rarest. Due to earth dragons tendency at being less emotional it is very rare they feel the intense love and care enough for someone to create a lovebreath but due to that the person who receives one will always know its truly great value, sentimental and otherwise.

Earth dragon continent is mostly barren earth and they live deep in a canyon (basically as if living in The Grand Canyon in many homes alike to “Indian cliff dwellings”. Look it up in google images, cool stuff). They also are not against living in caves but much prefer the bottom of a canyon for their main city. The home city is visit able by all the races.
Nature
Physical Attributes
Nature’s genders are reversed physically, the females are the larger sex and the males are the smaller one and are even smaller than the females of the other draconic races. They have large brown plates on their front which during a fall will stick out in an attempt to catch and slow the fall by cutting into the wood. It’s not perfect but sometimes slowing down a little can be enough for the dragon to catch themselves and prevent falling to their death. Their wings are not meant for flight and are actually meant for gliding but also climbing as they are nothing but raw muscle and have hooks at the top in order to grab onto a tree and pull them up. The muscle strength in the wings is easily enough to carry the dragon without the assistance of arms legs or tail. They are generally green in color. Their claws and horns are usually wooden in look, quite a bit like petrified wood. Nature overall are very much built like acrobats as they jump and climb around the trees every day.
Diet
The nature diet consists a lot of tree-growing fruits as well as tree-dwelling animals.
Culture
Nature dragons are purely matriarchal to an absolute and violent extreme. Males are essentially not even considered people and are for breeding purposes and taking care of the home they are not allowed to have jobs or become warriors. Females can be very violent, a male Nature being beaten in the street would not even get much reaction from others at all. Nature is the most recently discovered race and because of this they are very distrustful of the new races and humans and do not understand how males have any rights in other cultures as they are considered weak and worthless in their own.
They are relatively warlike but their presence actually has a positive effect on plant life and they nurture plants especially vines up in the trees for the use of farming and they also use vines for bridges and their homes.
Lovebreath
The nature lovebreath is unique in that it is not a gem and is actually a large seed, this seed can be kept as a trinket but planting the seed in the ground will make a tree sprout that is local to the area it is planted. Around this tree all plants will flourish and any foods will grow much bigger than they normally would making it quite helpful for barren lands as it needs very little care to blossom. The tree is very hard to kill even if snapped in half it will regrow itself and likely kill the things around it in order to gather nutrients however once it is healed the area will grow beautiful once more. The fertile land will go around in a 20 yard diameter and not much more.
Home
The Nature home is quite different from the other races because it is in the trees, the forest is unique in itself as each tree is large enough to make a redwood look like a sapling. Each is absolutely massive and because of the amount of trees the size and thickness the forest itself is absolute darkness within. These trees are so massive they are what is causing the rest of the continent to generally be barren and lifeless just like earth dragons love. The main city is slowly being built onto with vines and platforms to allow other races to visit but outside those areas it is mostly just vines for travelling and movement. The main city is accessed by a large platform pulled up by pulleys to bring dragons and merchants and their wares up onto the platforms. Ice is the only race that cannot visit the city due to the humidity and heat.
Wind
Physical Attributes
They are very much the opposite of earth being that they are skinny anorexic almost in shape lithe and overall very flimsy in appearance, they have hollow bones alike to a birds and the largest most powerful wings overall of the winged races. They will hover anytime they can rather than walk and prefer flight over running and unlike most races they can fly far distances for long periods of time. Their horns and claws are usually a dull grey like a cloudy sky. They are most often a grey color.
Diet
Wind has no particular type of food that sticks out for being their favorite however they have a fondness for birds and other flying animals but also an enjoyment of more airy foods marshmallows cotton candy and the sort. Because of their affinity for any kinds of food with, no specific love, they quite enjoy being chefs and take great joy in any food made or received.
Culture
Wind are quick talking, quick acting, and quick in changing decisions. They are very flighty in their behavior and actions and actually very hyperactive: they talk fast and think even faster. They love to fly and will use any excuse to do so and do not even like touching the ground and if they are able, they will hover at all times however due to their wingspan though this is not always possible. Because of their very fickle and indecisive and hyperactive nature they can sometimes become irritating to other races.
Lovebreath
Wind has one of the more valuable lovebreaths due to its beauty but it is actually the least rare because of their emotional nature they are quick to feel love (very much the opposite of an earth dragon). This lovebreath is essentially a solid piece of air and looking into it looks very much like a tornado is raging inside, holding it gives the sensation that air is rushing past the holder’s hands.

Wind lives on a continent with the ice dragons and the main human homeland, the main dragon city is on top of a mountain but there are many towns surrounding and along the slopes as well. They highly prefer the cold and the high winds of the mountain tops as well as being able to fly around without hindrance. They share this mountain with the ice dragons who also share the love of the cold. Their main city is able to be visited by most races with the proper clothing and gear however even with proper attire fire is not able to be in such a cold place without death; however fire can with heavy clothing be around the base of the mountain and on the colder continent. Many of the homes on top of this mountain are made of wood usually for wind dragons but ice dragons prefer homes made of snow or ice.
Ice
Physical Attributes
Ice has a slight shimmer to their scales alike to seeing frost on the grass on a cold day. Their scales are by far the hardest and their claws and horns look like icicles though they will not melt. More often than not they are silver or white in color. Due to the strength of ice dragon scales many people will harvest the element for its scales to make some of the best armor possible for the time as many ice dragons will go without armor however the scales can be ripped out like any other though it is very much alike to ripping out a fingernail not very fun.
Ice has a lower body core temperature and can be cold if not freezing to the touch. They are also notoriously hard to kill somewhat due in part to a slower heartbeat making them bleed out much slower as well as they just are a stubborn and sturdy bodied race who does not stay down easily.

They actually “marinate” their food by giving it freezer burn (or will when the technology allows for such to occur), they also don’t mind eating ice outright though it obviously won’t provide much in the way of nutrients it is still hard and cold which they quite enjoy as they will commonly find ways to cool or freeze their meat and eat it solid.
Culture
Ice is usually the dominant in the friendship with wind due to wind being much more playful and carefree and ice being a bit more serious. They are the ones to take on jobs and tasks but wind will happily help out for a time. Ice has a very slight leaning towards matriarchal but it is basically an equal society. Due to wind being a bit more carefree ice is the more serious race and are easy to forgive but they do not forget easily.

The ice lovebreath is second only to the fire’s in monetary value it is a clean pure piece of ice with the very slightest glow to it. It is always cold it will never melt and many of those who receive it will put it in a pouch or some such because the cold can get a bit intolerable at times.

The ice live on top of a mountain alongside the wind dragons as they adore the freezing air and will find ways to make their homes out of ice whether in brick form or outright sculpting it would not be uncommon to see a home of solid ice inside and out. Much of the snow on the mountain is never cleaned away leaving it very deep for those on the mountain and causing many to have to trudge through waist deep snow (though due to the love of the cold they do not mind this in the slightest). Some homes are built too with heavy stones or wood to hold up the crushing weight of snow that may collect on top. Most of the homes have open doorways and windows at most covered with cloth this allows for the gushing cold air to easily enter the home making it quite pleasant for both races. Children obviously love to play in the snow as there is quite an abundance of it and it would not be uncommon to see a snow fight almost every day of the year.
Water
Physical Attributes
Water is built for aquatic life, they lack wings and while the females do have breasts they rarely grow beyond A-Cups even during pregnancy. They have much longer tails than the other races which is used to help propel them through the water. Their horns and claws usually have a look of coral and can come in all sorts of colors like coral. They have 3 Mohawk like frills on top of their head which can be pulled flat against their head or raised high at their liking but when not actively moving it, it shows their emotions pulled back being a negative emotion and up high a more positive curious emotion. They are more often than not blue in color. They also can breathe underwater and on land but need moisture so they do not often go past coastal areas. Their hands and feet are fully webbed as well.

Water dragons prefer water creatures and generally salty things but they will liken to more watery foods like watermelon or celery as well. They are not a picky race but if it comes from the water they are much more interested in eating that than anything else. Though some water dragons go the opposite direction wanting to try things from the land they have never seen before.

Not much is known about the water culture beyond they are extremely secretive and no one is truly sure why. They will not speak of their home city or really anything under the oceans. They are often captains of ships on the oceans too and have been known for “unwarranted violence” still not many are sure why but many do not trust them due to this attitude and the fact that most of the race is unseen living under the ocean where they cannot be attacked or retaliated against if they decide to attack. They are known to be a warrior race though and seem to value the soldier over the scholar.

The water lovebreath is a bit of an oddity in that while not looking like ice it clearly does look like a solid piece of water like holding glass with water inside it. It looks like an entire ocean is contained within the stone and when holding it your hands will feel as if they are submerged in water but when your hand is taken away it does not feel nor look wet. It is valued for its odd beauty and its definite rarity.

Nothing is known about the water home city or any towns underwater, and while there are plenty of water dragons who live on the coast they will not speak of what it is like there. Many water dragons will captain ships however and many people will flock to those ships expecting them to be the safest and while it is true water dragons have a greater understanding of the oceans and are truly the best captains it is not foolproof.
Human
Physical Attributes
Humans are about the same as they are for our world however they’re a bit more resistant to disease and infection and as their main home is on a colder continent they are more than used to cold temperatures but can be anywhere.
Diet
Essentially able to eat nearly anything the dragons can with no particular leaning outside personal preference they are great farmers however and have thrived wherever they go.
Culture
They are like any medieval culture, god-fearing, patriarchal, and doing their best to get by. Some religions do believe that dragons are humans with demon souls inside of them and have caused more than a few incidents of violence but just as they have bigots and idiots, dragons are not free of guilt too. For the most part there are tensions but things are peaceful. Humans are always the first ones to make armor or new weapons or really any new technology due to lacking the claws, strength, size, tails or scales that dragons possess making them need to find other ways to remain competitive in the battlefield and otherwise.

The human homeland is contained on the same continent as the wind and ice though they live on the other side of the continent. They have a nice sized kingdom to call their own and dragons while not outright banned aren’t always welcome in deeper territories, the fact that humans have a major need for clothing over dragons means they do get a bit upset if a nude dragon is walking down the street scarring all their children so as to keep things from getting out of hand many dragons will find some sort of clothing when in human territory.

The nature lovebreath is unique in that it is not a gem and is actually a large seed, this seed can be kept as a trinket but planting the seed in the ground will make a tree sprout that is local to the area it is planted. Around this tree all plants will flourish and any foods will grow much bigger than they normally would making it quite helpful for barren lands as it needs very little care to blossom. The tree is very hard to kill even if snapped in half it will regrow itself and likely kill the things around it in order to gather nutrients however once it is healed the area will grow beautiful once more. The fertile land will go around in a 20 yard diameter and not much more.
Home
The Nature home is quite different from the other races because it is in the trees, the forest is unique in itself as each tree is large enough to make a redwood look like a sapling. Each is absolutely massive and because of the amount of trees the size and thickness the forest itself is absolute darkness within. These trees are so massive they are what is causing the rest of the continent to generally be barren and lifeless just like earth dragons love. The main city is slowly being built onto with vines and platforms to allow other races to visit but outside those areas it is mostly just vines for travelling and movement. The main city is accessed by a large platform pulled up by pulleys to bring dragons and merchants and their wares up onto the platforms. Ice is the only race that cannot visit the city due to the humidity and heat.
Wind
Physical Attributes
They are very much the opposite of earth being that they are skinny anorexic almost in shape lithe and overall very flimsy in appearance, they have hollow bones alike to a birds and the largest most powerful wings overall of the winged races. They will hover anytime they can rather than walk and prefer flight over running and unlike most races they can fly far distances for long periods of time. Their horns and claws are usually a dull grey like a cloudy sky. They are most often a grey color.
Diet
Wind has no particular type of food that sticks out for being their favorite however they have a fondness for birds and other flying animals but also an enjoyment of more airy foods marshmallows cotton candy and the sort. Because of their affinity for any kinds of food with, no specific love, they quite enjoy being chefs and take great joy in any food made or received.
Culture
Wind are quick talking, quick acting, and quick in changing decisions. They are very flighty in their behavior and actions and actually very hyperactive: they talk fast and think even faster. They love to fly and will use any excuse to do so and do not even like touching the ground and if they are able, they will hover at all times however due to their wingspan though this is not always possible. Because of their very fickle and indecisive and hyperactive nature they can sometimes become irritating to other races.
Lovebreath
Wind has one of the more valuable lovebreaths due to its beauty but it is actually the least rare because of their emotional nature they are quick to feel love (very much the opposite of an earth dragon). This lovebreath is essentially a solid piece of air and looking into it looks very much like a tornado is raging inside, holding it gives the sensation that air is rushing past the holder’s hands.

Wind lives on a continent with the ice dragons and the main human homeland, the main dragon city is on top of a mountain but there are many towns surrounding and along the slopes as well. They highly prefer the cold and the high winds of the mountain tops as well as being able to fly around without hindrance. They share this mountain with the ice dragons who also share the love of the cold. Their main city is able to be visited by most races with the proper clothing and gear however even with proper attire fire is not able to be in such a cold place without death; however fire can with heavy clothing be around the base of the mountain and on the colder continent. Many of the homes on top of this mountain are made of wood usually for wind dragons but ice dragons prefer homes made of snow or ice.
Ice
Physical Attributes
Ice has a slight shimmer to their scales alike to seeing frost on the grass on a cold day. Their scales are by far the hardest and their claws and horns look like icicles though they will not melt. More often than not they are silver or white in color. Due to the strength of ice dragon scales many people will harvest the element for its scales to make some of the best armor possible for the time as many ice dragons will go without armor however the scales can be ripped out like any other though it is very much alike to ripping out a fingernail not very fun.
Ice has a lower body core temperature and can be cold if not freezing to the touch. They are also notoriously hard to kill somewhat due in part to a slower heartbeat making them bleed out much slower as well as they just are a stubborn and sturdy bodied race who does not stay down easily.
Diet
Ice dragons by many are considered sweet tooth’s and while this is partially true it is more the fact they love cold food and more often than not cold food is something sweet like ice-cream. They actually “marinate” their food by giving it freezer burn (or will when the technology allows for such to occur), they also don’t mind eating ice outright though it obviously won’t provide much in the way of nutrients it is still hard and cold which they quite enjoy as they will commonly find ways to cool or freeze their meat and eat it solid.
Culture
Ice is usually the dominant in the friendship with wind due to wind being much more playful and carefree and ice being a bit more serious. They are the ones to take on jobs and tasks but wind will happily help out for a time. Ice has a very slight leaning towards matriarchal but it is basically an equal society. Due to wind being a bit more carefree ice is the more serious race and are easy to forgive but they do not forget easily.
Lovebreath
The ice lovebreath is second only to the fire’s in monetary value it is a clean pure piece of ice with the very slightest glow to it. It is always cold it will never melt and many of those who receive it will put it in a pouch or some such because the cold can get a bit intolerable at times.

The ice live on top of a mountain alongside the wind dragons as they adore the freezing air and will find ways to make their homes out of ice whether in brick form or outright sculpting it would not be uncommon to see a home of solid ice inside and out. Much of the snow on the mountain is never cleaned away leaving it very deep for those on the mountain and causing many to have to trudge through waist deep snow (though due to the love of the cold they do not mind this in the slightest). Some homes are built too with heavy stones or wood to hold up the crushing weight of snow that may collect on top. Most of the homes have open doorways and windows at most covered with cloth this allows for the gushing cold air to easily enter the home making it quite pleasant for both races. Children obviously love to play in the snow as there is quite an abundance of it and it would not be uncommon to see a snow fight almost every day of the year.
Water
Physical Attributes
Water is built for aquatic life, they lack wings and while the females do have breasts they rarely grow beyond A-Cups even during pregnancy. They have much longer tails than the other races which is used to help propel them through the water. Their horns and claws usually have a look of coral and can come in all sorts of colors like coral. They have 3 Mohawk like frills on top of their head which can be pulled flat against their head or raised high at their liking but when not actively moving it, it shows their emotions pulled back being a negative emotion and up high a more positive curious emotion. They are more often than not blue in color. They also can breathe underwater and on land but need moisture so they do not often go past coastal areas. Their hands and feet are fully webbed as well.
Diet
Water dragons prefer water creatures and generally salty things but they will liken to more watery foods like watermelon or celery as well. They are not a picky race but if it comes from the water they are much more interested in eating that than anything else. Though some water dragons go the opposite direction wanting to try things from the land they have never seen before.
Culture
Not much is known about the water culture beyond they are extremely secretive and no one is truly sure why. They will not speak of their home city or really anything under the oceans. They are often captains of ships on the oceans too and have been known for “unwarranted violence” still not many are sure why but many do not trust them due to this attitude and the fact that most of the race is unseen living under the ocean where they cannot be attacked or retaliated against if they decide to attack. They are known to be a warrior race though and seem to value the soldier over the scholar.
Lovebreath
The water lovebreath is a bit of an oddity in that while not looking like ice it clearly does look like a solid piece of water like holding glass with water inside it. It looks like an entire ocean is contained within the stone and when holding it your hands will feel as if they are submerged in water but when your hand is taken away it does not feel nor look wet. It is valued for its odd beauty and its definite rarity.

Nothing is known about the water home city or any towns underwater, and while there are plenty of water dragons who live on the coast they will not speak of what it is like there. Many water dragons will captain ships however and many people will flock to those ships expecting them to be the safest and while it is true water dragons have a greater understanding of the oceans and are truly the best captains it is not foolproof.
Human
Physical Attributes
Humans are about the same as they are for our world however they’re a bit more resistant to disease and infection and as their main home is on a colder continent they are more than used to cold temperatures but can be anywhere.
Diet
Essentially able to eat nearly anything the dragons can with no particular leaning outside personal preference they are great farmers however and have thrived wherever they go.
Culture
They are like any medieval culture, god-fearing, patriarchal, and doing their best to get by. Some religions do believe that dragons are humans with demon souls inside of them and have caused more than a few incidents of violence but just as they have bigots and idiots, dragons are not free of guilt too. For the most part there are tensions but things are peaceful. Humans are always the first ones to make armor or new weapons or really any new technology due to lacking the claws, strength, size, tails or scales that dragons possess making them need to find other ways to remain competitive in the battlefield and otherwise.

Home
The human homeland is contained on the same continent as the wind and ice though they live on the other side of the continent. They have a nice sized kingdom to call their own and dragons while not outright banned aren’t always welcome in deeper territories, the fact that humans have a major need for clothing over dragons means they do get a bit upset if a nude dragon is walking down the street scarring all their children so as to keep things from getting out of hand many dragons will find some sort of clothing when in human territory.
