Indeed. It's always been true; we didn't need an update to confirm it. It was nice, though.

it's really a shame that every time Pikachu gets something nice like Surf or the Cosplay attacks, Raichu is just never allowed to Keep or have it.

sometimes I wonder why Gamefreak is so cruel to Raichu...

I'll admit, this change makes Choice scarf raichu pretty great. but his movepool still lacks :(

Even tho his speed is decent this gen, a raichu in your party for competitive play isnt a visable choice, being a raichu fur im sad to say but there are much better candidates for battling pokemon, but hey Raichus are lovers not fighters :P

indeed. this spurred me to finding out what sort of possible things that he can do, Scarf boosts his speed over 525 which is huge. but his lack of moves in some cases and his much needed speed over power is risky..

Not to mention his sucky HP and Defense. But hey, Raichu's cool. ...Cool Pokemon are NEVER strong. :(

My raichu was surprisingly good at taking out other pokemon in this game compared to the others, especially since I managed to get a blastoise to boost thunder to a 100% chance hit.

It is unfortunate that the light ball doesn't make up for not evolving. As long as the right moves are learned prior, rais are the superior chu. Speaking of speed, electro ball. <3 Favorite move on all my speedsters.
