the joke is the process is like a public auction machine for a credible partner where consequence and ideals kind of get flittered away because of how easy it is. Some people get lucky, others do not. I'm the latter and I'm getting tired of carpet bombing random girls with questions and compliments, just to be ignored.
Moved to another site, which said I needed to pay to read messages. So all in all, it's not been a good experience for me.I've had a few good relationships online, but I've realised I need someone closer to home. So congrats to them, but I can only say luck was on their side.

The one thing I find online dating sites are good for is quick filtering; there might even be something in what you're saying that comes up as a red flag, but the likelier bit is that women get stormed on sites like these, if not stalked or harassed. For example, I know a few who would actually sort away from people 'not looking for sex' both because either they were or because they were used to those people being the kind of shitty, entitled men that swarm rampant over the 'net, the world even, and prefer to sort by other relevant stuff. I know it sucks a lot, but I'd ask one of your friends who looks for men what your profile says to them, etc., likely you'd get a lot better answers with someone that identifies as female because they get far and away the lion's share of shitty treatment out there and they tend to have a much better sense of both what they want and what'll send them flying away from a profile post-haste.
Good luck regardless, though. I've been where you are and it sucks tremendously.
