I got a commission order from and I started making a few digital sketches. These are pretty rough, mostly because the ideas in my head are pretty rough ^^; But, something that he wanted to illustrate was the size difference between his character, Maroo and my character, Sugar.

In the Sweet Shoppe universe, many animals exist on the same planet, but in different regions of the world. On Adohi (the continent to the north of Catriona Isles, where the Sweet Shoppe girls and other cats, live), you'll find bears, wolves, foxes and other North American creatures. However, as in our world, the animals there are considerably larger than the cats (who would be derived from domesticated cats if they were on earth). Bear and wolves, for example, would be nearly twice the size of a cat. The cats are childlike in size as compared to them.

...so!

With all that being said, I need to figure out how to make a fun scene that illustrates the difference in size between Maroo (a bear) and Sugar (a cat).

I wanted to do something with ice skating since Sugar is rather fond of that. I thought it might be cute if Maroo was a trainer and was helping her to learn how to do it (upper right and middle left illustrations). I think I like that idea a lot and will probably run with it. ^_^
