I'm just posting this here since I know quite a few of you are TMBG fans and might enjoy this! This'll go into my scraps later because it's not exactly the most impressive drawing ever :P
Danny Weinkauf, the bassist of They Might Be Giants is doing a kickstarter for a solo CD, a kid's album named No School Today. If you enjoy this kind of music, or would like to gift a nice CD to some kid you know, or would simply like to help out, go take a look!
(If you live close to NYC and have 1200 bucks to spare he'll come and give you a private concert in your living room, haha. I wish I could get the whole band to do that)
One of the songs on the album as well as the cover art (and an upcoming animated music video) are marsupial-themed, so I doodled a bunch of marsupials in red pants in my daily sketchbook. (If you know why they wear red pants, we should hang out :D) I love helping out on kickstarters but don't have much to donate, so I always hope my little doodles help!

Yeah, should also mention again this is not a TMBG project so this CD doesn't even sound much like their kid's albums. But I'm sure there are a lot of people out there that do enjoy it!
I personally like the TMBG kids albums, especially the science one, though I'm not interested in all the songs. The 'adult' stuff is the stuff I absolutely love though, and to repeat Vin, have you listened to Nanobots? It has a lot of great songs on there, including a lot of very short ones that remind me of Apollo 18. I went to my first concert recently and was so happy they played music from all eras! They played a whole bunch of songs from the latest album (awesome performances that included a melodica and a bass clarinet), but they also played very early and not-per-say-popular songs like Rhythm Section Want Ad, Number Three, Toddler Hiway, and even 32 Footsteps. (I am grinning wide thinking about it, ahhh!)

Yes! These songs came out before I was born, haha. I even have (a copy of) the first demo tape :D
I thiiink John Henry is my favorite album, that or one of the earlier ones, but it's hard to say since my favorites are spread over multiple records. Some of my all time favorite songs are very recent ones, too, which is a happy thought because there's more awesomeness to come!

Btw, I recommend you buy directly from the band if you want to support them :)
