Vixyy Fox's latest Thursday prompt of 'climax' http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12459089/ reminded me of this item I wrote about 25 years ago. The background was done by combining a couple clip art pieces the hard way...photographically. It took me about a two weeks of my spare time to wordsmith it and another several days to do the background. As you might guess, I spent many happy days (and more than a few terrifying hours) cruising and racing sailboats. I hope you enjoy my first real contribution to the Fur Affinity community.

I'm glad you liked it. This is a rare case of inspiration which doesn't happen often. Most of my writing is technical or journalistic in nature. I sold my boat 4 years ago after owning it 27 years. I miss sailing but I don't miss boat ownership. I got quite good at racing (you can see some pics on my Deviantart page) but had to back off of it due to business travel. My Father-in-law to me out on a Sunfish in 1980 and I was hooked. Came home and bought a 19ft day sailor, then a 25ft Catalina a couple years later. But when a passion becomes a chore, it's time to move on.
