"For a moment the bearded vulture's red and yellow eyes met his and Timber couldn't help but swallow hard and take a step back. His tail brushed up against the cave wall but he barely noticed it. Wolf or not there was no denying that this bird was intimidating. Their arm wings alone looked large enough to beat him down rather soundly not to mention the wicked talons on their hands. Then there were the eyes. Eyes that burned with a level of intelligence that Timber immediately knew was far more dangerous than anything he had seen so far."

Still working on writing the book itself actually but I'm about 70% done with it so far. That may end up changing but I've still got quite a bit done. Although after I finish I have a lot of rewrites and additions to make in the second draft.
