I used to think they mean San Francisco, which is sometimes called Bay City or the City by the Bay. According to Wikipedia, though, they threw a dart at a map of the USA and hit Bay City, Michigan. Just as well they didn't hit Hell, Michigan, not far away. They'd have had to become a heavy metal band.
I got mixed up, Baytown is the one that northeast of here, Bay City is off some ways to the southwest and is completely landlocked to boot.
