Those long deely-bobbers are in fact sensory organs, and in adulthood there's actually some muscular control over them. The grand tradition of Hegyalas having awful weird musculature and skeletal frames after puberty continues.
His back legs (and tail) should probably have been longer for PROPULSION, but I didn't notice the legs until Joe had already lined because I'm a moron and there was just no room for his tail. Whatever!
