This is just breathtakingly extraordinary!

The smoke effect you have created here is just stunning. When I first saw the thumbnail, I thought it was a leopard that was passing under trees and the light was playing across its fur. After pulling up the full image, I was even more impressed with the technique you have employed. This is nothing short of extraordinary. You could give classes on lighting and shading.

This reminds me of the jaguar from Wolf Captured (Jane Lindskold), whose fur reverses color so that the base coat is as dark as her spots, and spots are flame-colored like the orange/gold of her original base coat. Except it's described a lot more eloquently than I can write it.

Fun furry art history fact: This image, along side Simul's "Jade", was the -reason- the Best Anthropomorphic Artwork Awards were founded.

I was mad that I had nobody to submit this image to for awards consideration! And I told my wife so, and she pointed out that I can be the change I want to see in the world.

And that is how the Best Anthropomorphic Artwork Awards were conceived. :)
