Tuurasucha - Masked Scaling Technique
See how I created the scales here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMHH.....be&t=5m35s
I thought I'd post this up after forgetting about it for a small while. This is a new concept I'm working on for my ZBrush For Production course, an aerial reptile creature. I randomly decided to try to 'paint' scales on with the Mask Pen tool, and with a little Inflate, the scales stand out beautifully! I really should have done this after I was satisfied with the overall sculpt, as this technique is a bit tedious and a bit ahead of the rest of the sculpt. Still, though - an awesome whim that I am very happy with!! The scaling process took about as much time as I imagine freehand sculpting one of those individual scales would take! I look forward to completing the rest of this bust. : D
