That's amazing! I never would have guessed painting a transition between fur colors would make such a difference. (I've studied fursuit techniques for years, never tried it myself though)

May I ask, When you paint the on top of a color, say orange, do you try to match the hue, do you add Orange to (say) brown, or just do brown on top and to mix them?

Depends what I am intending. I match it if I want it to naturally transition into another (generally lighter) colour

So I'm wondering...as you're painting one of these, is there a moment where you suddenly go "Oh HELL YES," or is the entire transition sort of linear and expected?

Pretty much half of it is me going "shit I have totally effed it all up" until the very end where I fix it all :p

I watched your videos on doing the tiger several times. Sucks for me is being colorblind, I cant mix the colors... so I either need to stick with premixed or find someone that can help with the color selection. By the way how is motherhood treating you with your cutie?

Oh Beetlecat, Offer is still open to go horse carting at my sisters place in Sylmar anytime I am in LA. her roomate's daughter has a miniature pony and matching cart too. I can't keep my daughter away from her there when we visit.. someking of equine gene runs in the female side of my family heh

Do you want some live lessons? I do streaming all the time and if you want to arrange a time when I have a head I'm ready to airbrush I can give you some basics pointers about mixing colours as a colourblind person(I'm not, but my husband is and I taught him fairly okay lol. He can do it 90% of the time but sometimes I come in and its like pale red/pale red/ red/ green OH YOU)
